The balanced pattern of the body is characterized by length, strength, and ease of movement. It just doesn’t make sense to say our bodies are naturally compressed and restricted. However due to a wide range of causes and conditions, balance becomes compromised.
But natural balance can be worked with and restored. By systematically lengthening and reeducating the soft tissues, the body as a whole can be moved back towards its graceful resilience.

MIPAWORK is

  1. A myofascial protocol to lengthen and rebalance the entire body
  2. Excellence in body mechanics to help practitioners work with more power and grace
  3. Embodied mindfulness practice to strengthen therapeutic presence

MIPAWORK Level 1 offers an introduction to the theory and practice of MIPAWORK, and instructs in Session One of the 10-session protocol. Session One works to bring balance to the rib-cage and restore the natural capacity for breath. The entire 10-session process is facilitated with the breath so this first session sets that foundation. We also do some work in this session bringing balance to the pelvis, back and neck. Finally we integrate the session changes by introducing the experiential centre of gravity.
