This one day practical course will focus on the therapists ability to assess and treat cervical joint stiffness and fixations of the upper cervical spine.  The techniques learned will help the therapist understand the biomechanics of the region and how to treat neck pain and headaches caused by joint dysfunctions.  Specific mobilizations of the neck z-joints and complimentary home exercises will be taught in detail.  This course is designed so that the therapists clinical reasoning skills will be challenged, and the knowledge gained will be easy for the therapist to apply to clinical practice right away.

Aaron has been a member of the Peterborough Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic team as a Registered Physiotherapist since 2000.

A graduate of Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science for Physical Therapy (BScPT), Aaron also has the distinction of working at the university as an Adjunct I Professor involved in clinical education for physiotherapy students.

Aaron has been a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) since 2006, holding a Certificate of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. He has been certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI) since 2008. Aaron also holds post-graduate training in many other orthopedic treatment approaches including McKenzie, Mulligan and dry needling.

In 2007 Aaron began assisting with the teaching of the Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy Diploma program through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He also has been providing post graduate courses for registered physiotherapists and massage therapists since 2005.

In 2009 Aaron teamed up with the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO) to teach courses in assessment skills. His courses now allow participants to earn a Certificate of Excellence in Assessment given out by the RMTAO.
